Helper Arrangement During Holiday

The holiday season gets us to slip into travel mood. The blessing of having a live-in helper extends beyond home chores when a helper assists during holiday travel. However, it may not always be feasible. As a recommended maid agency Singapore, we suggest a few arrangements you may consider for your helper:

  1. Leave her at home – Provide a list of emergency contact, in case you’re unreachable. Ensure she has enough food and supply. You may leave her with delegated tasks to completed by the time you’re back.
  2. Time helper home leave with your holiday – Prepare embassy requirements and reentry permit, as well as maid insurance. Employers can apply for levy waiver for at least 7 days overseas leave.
  3. Leave helper with a relative/ friend – Approval from MOM 7 days before departure is necessary. You also need to ensure that she is not deployed for work by the entrusted relative/ friend.
  4. Board her at dormitories for female domestic worker – Approval from MOM is necessary before boarding her. Meanwhile you may consider to send her for retraining with agency or getting her courses during the period.
